Eden: Oh, they’re awesome. You need to put some new clothes on too.

Alden is a walker now. He took his first steps more than a month ago. Then after that he never got interested in doing it regularly. Finally he decided to go ahead and walk across the room a bunch of times. We’re staying on a houseboat this weekend at Lake Powell. It probably wasn’t the easiest place to learn.

I laid down next to Eden to help her get to sleep. It kind of backfired because she didn’t want to rest as much as she wanted to talk. She told me about her day and about her best friends and cousins and everything else that came to mind. After about ten minutes she said, “But do you know that I can talk a lot?”
