Unmoeglich

[Impossible] Do you have any idea how hard it is to take a picture of an infant’s mouth? Didn’t think so. It took 6 sessions over 2 days and 150 wasted photos. And we had to improvise a blindfold so that the flash didn’t blind our helpless little model. 🙂

So what’s the big deal? There are signs of incisors already appearing! Yes, they are months early. That’s the part that is truly impossible. Eden is only 2 months old today. She is showing all the symptoms, like drooling and refusing to eat. When we put lidocaine on her gums she calms down and takes food. We didn’t believe it ourselves, so we had to get some photographic proof. Look for the 3 white dots on each side of her bottom gums.

I appreciate the hard work getting the photo, but man those look more like bubbles than teeth to me… I mean I’m not saying to not brush them daily just in case, but… that is crazy she’s gettin teeth though.

Hey guys,

They do look like teeth! Did you talk to your doc? My friend’s baby was born with a tooth and had to get it pulled. Fingers crossed you don’t have to go there.
(Elisa, I hope you com visit me again soon. I had SO MUCH FUN hanging out with you and sweet baby Eden last Monday!! I just can’t get enough of her!)

Elisa –

No need to fear. She is just an early teether.

Lexi got her first tooth almost coming through at 8 weeks. The lovely pediatrician (she had no children) told me I was just seeing milk. Um, no! 1 week later when Lexi was 9 weeks old her first tooth finally popped through. I found somewhere (probably google) they can go up and down up to 3 times before they pop through the gums.

Lexi had all of her baby teeth by 9 months. She lost her teeth early too. It is not a bad thing. I have also known babies who were born with teeth, I have never heard of them needing to be pulled though?

I can’t wait to meet the little early teether – she is so sweet!

I was an early teether also. It last throughout all childhood. I had lost and gotten all my permanent teeth by the time I was 9. Most kids don’t have all of theirs till about 12ish. But it was a bonus because then I was able to have my full set of braces on and off before I even left grade school. And no, that’s not because my dad was the Orthodontist it’s because you can’t get braces until you have all your permanent teeth. Even though it sounds like an obvious bonus, most people don’t think about it. This way she will have her braces on and long gone before she ever reaches high school, or if she’s like me, middle school. She’ll be glad.

Wow, what a surprise! It will be her special trademark. I am dying to see that little babe – will you come visit us sometime and we can take pics to that little teether? Oh, and I DO know how hard it is to get pics of a baby’s mouth – I gave up on Kelsey after some time. She still only has barely 6 teeth. She’s a slow teether and it looks like she’ll be getting braces in COLLEGE! Hope to hear from you soon,

Jess

Maybe it’s because you guys live so close to Transalvania. Uh oh.

And I’m returning the “happy birthday” wishes right back to you.

Okay, you’re not really close to Transalvania, but it seems like it to me.

Hey, that’s cool–this is the first time that we’ve both celebrated a birthday at the same time. 🙂

Uh… Happy Birthday. For your present, I will give you an opinion. Joe from Blues Clues was way better than Steve. Any impartial judge will tell you the same thing.

Dude, that is early! But it looks like they’re thinking of coming in! It might still take months. That’s the frustrating part. They are so miserable for so long. My kids get their kids sooo late. Micah is 8 months old, and no sign of ’em yet.
