I went to the Women’s Relief Society celebration tonight. I was feeling pretty emotional and fragile. I found myself searching for some refuge and I found it. It was so nice to be surrounded by so many women in many different stages of life who I know love me, support me, and in many ways can teach me how to be a better wife, mother and person. I was asked to give a prayer to open the meeting. After the prayer I felt so strongly that I am bigger, stronger, and more capable than I am on my own because of the support system of the Relief Society sisters. I feel like I flounder so much even with such a great organization to support me. I do not know how other women manage without it!

I shall duly report on my weekend in Monday's post–it proved to be far more than I anticipated! It's an attractive dress and yeah, for passing on the thrifting baton. It took me YEARS to convert my children to shopping that way.

He was solidly built, (carpentry is hard, heavy work that builds muscles), and not a particularly stylish dresser, so he didn’t fit the stereotype. However, his boyfriend, when I met him, was the slim, stylishly dressed one. Then again, they both had a thing for show music, although at the time I didn’t realise the significance.

But it is just not the same as having someone teach you about them. We have had a goal to be a more self sufficient and I would love the chance to learn more and get a little closer to that goal!!
