Eden – Four Weeks

Eden is now four weeks old. Time is going very fast. Eden is a pretty content little baby. I think we are daily discovering something new that we have been misunderstanding about her. She actually sleeps quite a lot when we let her. 🙂 She is pretty cute and some real smiles are possibly even emerging. I’m so proud every time I see her holding her own head up. Every day her eyes are looking more blue. Hooray!

I am doing great–the pain and exhaustion are starting to wear off. The biggest challenge for Elisa’s recovery is probably that we keep deciding to go on day trips. Chad and I have managed to find a way of helping each other out during the middle of the night so we do not feel like zombies all the time.

That sweet little bug is growing! I see changes in her already. Makes me wish I were closer! She is a mover in her sleep…I have never seen a time lapse on a baby …. you aught to send it in. You would win. We love and miss you guys.

First of all, she is adorable! Second, I know what you mean with everything you said in the previous post! I promise that you will be able to find a happy medium between the two (being mom and wife) and that you will love the new “normal” that emerges. Don’t feel guilty for asking Chad to help. Easier said than done, I know, but he is her dad and I promise that he wants to help. I believe it takes a really good mom to help the dad feel comfortable taking care of the children. Besides – it pays BIG dividends later when you feel like you need to take a break and go somewhere all by yourself – I promise you will want to do that too! And what better babysitter than a loving father? Sorry this is so long – it didn’t start out that way 🙂

I’m so glad she’s sleeping better. And I’m glad you’re helping each other with the middle-of-the-night stuff. Ben helped me with the middle-of-the-night stuff with Micah, and it made such a difference in my temperment and our marriage.
