Puerto Vallarta

After months of Chad working like crazy and me going crazy we packed up our swimwear and sandals, sunscreen and books and went south of the border to Puerto Vallarta. We stayed in Melia, an all-inclusive resort from Sunday to Saturday. I just reached a deadline so I could afford to be away. Before this week, I had been working every weekend almost around the clock.

Back in July, while my parents were visiting after Alden was born I convinced my dad that he should vacation with us. We were able to spend some time with him and my brother, Daniel, before they continued on to Guadalahara.

During the week I kept saying things like ‘this is in my top 5’. So without further ado here are my favorite things…

Parry Family Puzzle Hunt

All the clues and solutions for the puzzle hunt are posted at http://puzzles.parry.org/.

Over the past month Frank put together a collection of nine pairs of boots at Work Wear House. Thank you Tammi and Frank! There was one pair for each of the nine teams. We hid one boot from each set at Work Wear House, one at the temple visitors’ center, and then the laces were in a duffel bag at the zoo. After the teams collected the pieces, they donated them to the Haven Shelter.

The theme of the puzzle hunt was family history and family memories. Most of the locations were significant to the family. We described our favorite locations in the epilogue that the teams received at the conclusion.
