At the grocery store, Eden kept asking if I would carry her. I asked her why she couldn’t walk. She said, “It’s so hard for me to walk.” I asked why it was hard. She made two fists, and stamped both feet as quickly as she could. “Because it’s so hard to do this!” So I conceded, “Well… I can put you on my shoulders.” She wrapped her arms across her chest and asked, “Can you hold me like this please?” Then she continued explaining how hard it was to walk, to convince me.

Last week I read Are You My Mother? to Eden. The baby bird walked by a rock and didn’t see his mother behind it. Now that Eden has figured out what is going on in that story, she explained her solution, “Mama bird need to move rock.”
Eden is getting in her little toddler praying skillz.
