Eden has a skinned knee. And a bump on her forehead. And a bruised temple. And a skinned palm. Probably others. She must be having a growth spurt or something. Every time we are going to go somewhere, she takes off running, and lately she only makes it a few steps before her first fall. It’s like clockwork. Or, like the other day, she was practicing spinning and getting dizzy, and ran into the couch. We see a lot of her face-down on the ground crying these days.

Elisa and I are font snobs. I am not a font snob! You’ve made me a font snob, for one specific font! I like my fonts. One of Chad’s hobbies for a week was researching typefaces. And sometimes around Elisa I complain about how people make really expensive signs in really cheap stupid-looking fonts. I spend too much time choosing fonts when I write anything. And now I’ve infected Elisa and she can’t stand Papyrus either. She was looking for companies online today and she vetoed one because their website used Papyrus. I’m so ashamed.
Last weekend we were in Idaho Falls with my parents. Eden must have enjoyed it. A few days ago Elisa put her in the car and she asked, “Omi?” My mom (Omi) was showing her counting. She kept trying to get Eden to repeat, “one, two, three.” We saw the fruits of her labor this morning. Eden walked over to the pantry and asked, “Treat, please!” To anyone else it would sound like, “Tcheet peeeas.” I said, “Okay, just one.” She countered, “Two!”
