The week after we went to Rome we went to Paris. That still sounds unbelievable.
We hit the main sights. I finally made it to the Louvre but I have to agree with Chad that I prefer the Orsay. However the ancient Egyptian and Mesopotamian artifacts were really great to see. It was also fun to see the art that I have been studying in my Humanities course.
We made it to Versailles this time around and the hall of mirrors was spectacular. The grounds were also really nice. I loved Marie Antoinette’s hamlet. It is not to be missed! We had a good time, but we knew we had a LOT to do as soon as we got back home.

Chad and I have been busy enough that we completely forgot to make an update on our happenings.
For our last few weeks in Switzerland Chad and I left the country. We spent a few days in Rome. Rome was our first real trip after moving to Switzerland. We had gone in February with Renee. Somehow the crowds were far fewer this time around. We had no lines for the Colosseum and Vatican, which made them far more enjoyable. I love Rome! We did a lot of walking and Eden managed to nap as we went. It was pretty hot so we went back to the hotel every afternoon for a siesta. The time was only a little crazy because we were expecting news from the companies Chad had interviewed with.
It is funny how the best memories we have could really happen anywhere. We gave Eden her first Italian Gelato–she loved it! It was so fun to see her gobble it up. We wanted Eden to enjoy the city and not feel like she had to be held the whole time. She crawled around most of the big sites. She was so filthy. Everyone we came across just fell in love with her. Everyone wanted to hold her and just oohed-and-ahhed over her. She had her own paparazzi.
